Ready to Take the First Step?

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers a balance of structured therapy and personal freedom, allowing you to get help for addiction while managing work, school, or family commitments. Take the next step in your recovery by contacting us today.

Who Our IOP Is For

IOP is the right level of care when weekly therapy is not enough but you do not need to live at a facility. It fits adults stepping down from a Partial Care Program who still want structured support, and people starting treatment with a stable home environment who can apply what they learn between sessions. We treat mental health conditions, substance use, and co-occurring disorders in the same program, so you do not have to choose which need comes first. People who do well in IOP are motivated to engage in treatment while holding onto their daily responsibilities at work, in school, or at home.

What our IOP looks like

IOP at Élevé runs for a few hours a day, several days a week, with your exact schedule set after an intake assessment maps your symptoms, history, and goals. Your week combines group therapy, individual counseling, and family sessions, and the mix is built around what you are working on rather than a fixed template. Day and evening options make it possible to attend around a job or class schedule. You can attend in person at our Hillsborough facility or by secure telehealth, and the two can be combined in the same plan. Length of the program depends on your progress, and your clinical team reviews it with you rather than holding you to a set calendar.

Conditions we treat in IOP

Our IOP treats the following:

  • Depression and mood disorders
  • Anxiety and panic disorders
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Substance use disorders
  • Co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders

If you are unsure whether IOP fits your situation, an intake assessment sorts it out. Call (833) 902-7098 to talk it through.

Therapies and modalities in our IOP

Our IOP uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and EMDR, delivered across group and individual sessions and matched to what you are treating.

CBT helps you connect the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors driving depression, anxiety, or substance use, and practice new responses in real situations between sessions. DBT builds emotional regulation and distress-tolerance skills, and fits people managing intense emotions or self-harm urges. EMDR is structured trauma therapy for people carrying PTSD or unresolved trauma, delivered by clinicians trained in the protocol. Group therapy gives you a place to practice these skills with people working through similar challenges, and family sessions bring the people closest to you into the work when that helps recovery.

How IOP fits into the continuum at Élevé

IOP sits in the middle of our outpatient continuum, and you can move between levels without leaving Élevé. Most people enter IOP as a step down from our Partial Care Program once daily treatment is no longer necessary, or as a starting point when they have a supportive home environment. As you progress, you can step down to our Outpatient Program for lighter, ongoing support. When a mental health condition and substance use occur together, our co-occurring disorders treatment is built into the same plan. Because every level runs in the same building with the same clinical team, moving between them does not mean starting over or repeating your history.

Insurance and cost
